Technical details:
This project involved taking JKR's existing system and modifying it to suit their current and future needs in tracking the status of their projects all around Malaysia. Their entire database was migrated from Sybase to PostgreSQL, and a full redesign was performed on the database. The new database was also transferred to SuSe Linux Enterprise Server 9. The user interface also underwent a full redesign to improve it. It is a web-based system.

Description:
JKR SKALA was a redesign and a modification of JKR's previous system, SKALA. Over the years, the system has been enhanced to add more functions to cater to the needs of JKR. The system is meant to keep track of all the revisions and changes in the projects, for example, the budget, delays, status, etc. The system is also capable of calculating the average completion time of all projects, and thereby providing a useful reference in regards to project timing. Analysis of the project's original budget, actual budget and projected budget are also possible with this system. This system also has a module where pdf file reports are able to be generated dynamically.
