Technical Details:
Apache was used for the development of this project, with OpenSuse used as the development platform. The database platform used is PostgreSQL and the programming language used is php. Drupal was the Content Management System of choice for the website.

Description
The purpose of this River Basin Information System (RBIS) Project is to develop an Information System to manage and support the Intergrated River Basin Management of all river basins in the country. The RBIS is developed on an Open Source platform based on scalable framework using php and PostgreSQL.

The key features of RBIS framework are as follows:
a) it is a web-based application that will make it easier for internal users to administer and manage, and easier for external users to obtain information in the system
b) uses Content Management Software (CMS) for handling static or descriptive contents
c) at the same time, it is integrated with Relational Database Management System (RDMS) allowing data to be stored, updated, queried, secured and managed via online
